Got another blog post live, this time about one of my favourite-ever places, Haworth. I've been to Haworth more times than I can count, starting when I was tiny and going all the way through to my most recent visit last summer.

What I wouldn't give for a Sunday day out visiting the Brontë Parsonage, mooching around the bookshops, having a ride on the train and stopping off for a pot of tea and a cake. Check it out on helenonherholidays.com. #travellater

It's been a bit dreary here over the last few days

It's been a bit dreary here over the last few days but having a break from my tough furlough life of lazing in the garden has been good for blogging. There's a new post up on helenonherholidays.com now about visiting Castello Aragonese on Ischia - a picturesque castle on a rock a bit like Mont St Michel but with a creepy bonus "attraction". Clue: it involves dead nuns and decomposition 😱 This pic is of one of the chapels in the castle - much more Instagram-friendly!

I've been writing a series of posts about my last trip to Ischia (remember trips?) and the Negombo thermal baths were obvs going to feature quite prominently. I really love writing posts that would have been useful to me before I travelled - all the daft stuff that had me anxious and that I couldn't find answers to even in the depths of the @tripadvisor forums. I'm just hoping that what I'm writing now will be useful to someone else someday!

At the Negombo thermal spa in Ischia, Italy, last September. I'd had some lovely news that morning, it was a beautiful day and we spent it thermal bath-hopping between Negombo's 12 pools. Bliss ☺️

I've had a tiny little increase in traffic over on helenonherholidays.com and it's given me my writing mojo back. Obvs nowhere near pre-Covid levels but encouraging all the same. There's new posts up about things to do in Hamburg, a review of @chocoversum in Hamburg, a collab on quirky things to do in London and a guide to visiting @negomboischia. Actually going back there might be off the cards for a bit but we can still dream, right? .

Throwback to this time four years ago and sunshine and happiness in Positano 🌞 I've been loving @nickipositano's Quarantine Diaries on YouTube for a little taste of the magical Amalfi Coast while we're all in lockdown.

It's grey here near Manchester after a few gorgeous sunny spring days. I'm about to brave the local farm shop as I've heard a rumour that they have flour 🤫 Wish me luck!
